Land to Land: Ritual on the Road
Spring: May 19th 2024 at Oakland Museum
Summer: July 13th 2024 in Fresno
“Land to Land - Ritual On the Road 길굿 (Gil Gut)” will explore connections between the land and a need for collective healing in U.S. communities today. In Korea, rituals offered in each village connect the people of that place to the land, while providing an opportunity for them to share concerns, hopes and ideas about how to support their mutual well-being.
For thousands of years, this is how cultures throughout the world have maintained balance and harmony in their villages and their environments, with a shaman or other such facilitator guiding the people in this work.
